PRP For Hair Loss

Lead a more full, confident life with PRP for hair loss

Did you know that your own plasma can be used rejuvenate capillary tissues to give you thicker, more full hair? PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a relatively new, but very promising treatment. It’s been shown to thicken and grow hair in both men and women, improving self-esteem and quality of life.

What can I expect?

The best PRP candidates for hair loss are people who start early in the hair loss process while they still have partially active follicles (thinning hair). If you’ve been fighting hair loss, this procedure provides a totally non-invasive alternative with no down time.

PRP therapy usually comprises 3-4 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, followed by a single maintenance treatment every 6-12 months.

Each treatment has 3 steps:
  •
Blood sampling: A blood sample is drawn FROM YOU.
  •
Preparation: The blood sample is promptly put into a centrifuge for 10 minutes to separate the blood components into 3 sections:
    -
Platelet-poor plasma
    -

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
    - Red-blood cells
  •
Treatment: Only the PRP is injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth in the targeted area.

  • After the PRP treatment, patients can return home by themselves and do not require assistance.

PRP can also be used for direct injection of tear troughs, cheeks, and nasolabial folds as an alternative to fillers. It works by stimulating collagen production under the skin, creating a barrier to camouflage ‘dark circles’ under the eyes. Typically, 3 treatments are needed to achieve a more rested, refreshed appearance. Learn more here.
