PRP For Hair Loss
Lead a fuller, more confident life with PRP for hair loss
Did you know that your own plasma can be used to rejuvenate capillary tissues to give you thicker and fuller hair? PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy for hair loss is a relatively new, but very promising treatment. It’s been shown to thicken and grow hair in both men and women, improving self-esteem and quality of life.
What can I expect? The best PRP candidates for hair loss are people who start early in the hair loss process while they still have partially active follicles (thinning hair). If you’ve been fighting hair loss, this procedure provides a totally non-invasive alternative with no down time.
PRP therapy usually comprises 3-4 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, followed by a single maintenance treatment every 6-12 months.
Each treatment has 3 steps:
- Blood sampling: A blood sample is drawn FROM YOU.
- Preparation: The blood sample is promptly put into a centrifuge for 10 minutes to separate the blood components into 3 sections:
- Platelet-poor plasma
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
- Red-blood cells
- Treatment: Only the PRP is injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth in the targeted area.
